Director's View mode on Samsung Galaxy phones allows you to record videos using both the front and rear cameras simultaneously. This feature enables you to capture footage from different angles, save separate clips, and play them in split-screen or picture-in-picture view. 1. What is Director's View Mode?
Director's View mode is a built-in video recording feature available on select Samsung Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold, and Galaxy Z Flip series. It lets you switch between multiple cameras during recording, save individual video streams, and playback the footage in various formats.
2. How to Record Videos Using Director's View Mode
Follow these steps to start recording videos using Director's View mode:
- Open the Camera app on your Samsung Galaxy device.
- Tap the Mode button and select Director's View.
- To save videos from the front and rear cameras separately, tap the Split Screen icon.
- Before starting the recording, tap the screen switch icon and choose the desired camera view.
- During recording, you can change the camera thumbnail by tapping the thumbnail icon. If it's hidden, tap the icon to display it.
3. Controlling the Picture-in-Picture Window
If you set the screen to Picture-in-Picture (PiP) view, you can adjust the size and position of the PiP window during recording or playback:
- To enlarge the PiP window, tap the window and select the zoom icon.
- To move the PiP window, drag it to your preferred location on the screen.
You can also control the PiP window while playing the recorded video. Tap the preview thumbnail on the preview screen or open the Gallery app, select the video, and tap → Open in Video Player.
